Langermann’s on Light Liquor License Tranfer Denied

A liquor license transfer for the former Langermann’s on Light to 1542 Singh LLC was denied by the Board of Liquor License Commissioners for Baltimore City (BLLC) on Thursday. The board members mentioned false statements on the application as the reason for its decision. The group also failed to gain the support of the South Baltimore Neighborhood Association (SBNA).

Since 2000, the location has been home to Copa 2000, The Royale, Charlotte’s, The Reserve, 1542 Gastro Pub, and Langermann’s on Light.

Bookmakers Chef Featured on Food Network

Chef Sarah Acconcia of Bookmakers in Federal Hill was featured on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay last week. From The Baltimore Sun before the episode aired:

In the episode, which premieres at 10 p.m. on the Food Network, Acconcia competes against another chef, Tre Wilcox, for the right to match skills against celebrity chef Bobby Flay. The guest judges for the episode, titled “No Formalities,” are Sunny Anderson (“The Kitchen”) and Food Network veteran Giada De Laurentiis.

The second phase of townhome construction is now underway at Key’s Overlook adjacent to Silo Point in Locust Point. Key’s Overlook is a 53-new construction townhome community by Beazer with 28 homes having already been completed in Phase I on a lot to the southeast of Silo Point. Now work has begun on the 25 homes in Phase 2 on a lot to the northwest of Silo Point.

B’more Betty

B’more Betty, which was open at 1316 Light St. in Federal Hill, recently announced it will be reopening at a different to-be-revealed location in Baltimore. B’more Betty also recently opened a location at National Harbor in Prince George’s County.

Tobacco and Vape Store in Pigtown

A new sign at a previously vacant storefront at 779 Washington Blvd. on Pigtown Main Street reads, “Coming Soon – City Tobacco & Vape Outlet.”
